SCOPE
We will discuss an interdisciplinary topic, focused on computer supported health education - multimedia well-being and health literacy (WeLL framework) that enables allied health professionals and empowers patients and their families through just-in-time health education focused on developing prevention and self-management skills related to health and psychological conditions. A patient-centric value model which was designed for emergent markets, relays on engaging the family of the patient to care for them prior and after procedures. In order to achieve this goal we are developing a literacy program which use gaming engine as mechanism of action base learning to deliver content regardless of the language or dialect the person speaks.
Topics:
Multimedia Health Literacy as Computerized Education; Coping Literacy through Interactive Visual Metaphors; Patient-centric Value Computerized Education Model for Emergent Markets; Computerized Gaming Health Literacy Program
