15th Annual Conference on Information Technology Education and the 3rd Annual Research in IT Conference

The 15th Annual Conference on Information Technology Education and the 3rd Annual Research in IT Conference will be hosted by Southern Polytechnic State University and will take place in the Buckhead neighborhood a few miles north of Atlanta, Georgia. Both conferences are sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group of Information Technology Education (SIGITE).
The theme of both conferences is “Riding the Wave of Change in Information Technology.” Atlanta may be known for its beautiful aquarium, but its innovative academic and corporate landscape is even more important. Information technology is a great part of that innovation. Since changes in IT are dynamic and unpredictable, the resultant disruptive change makes envisioning the future very difficult for academics and practitioners alike. We seek submissions that address ways for academia, government, and business to anticipate, navigate, and adapt to the ever-evolving nature of IT.

The Teaching Professor Conference

Year after year, college faculty mark the end to the spring term by attending The Teaching Professor Conference. It’s the perfect venue to reflect, recharge, and rejuvenate while gaining a wealth of instructional ideas and valuable insights.
This non-discipline specific conference provides an opportunity to learn effective pedagogical techniques and interact with colleagues committed to teaching and learning excellence.
No warm fuzzies … no arcane academic theories … no stuffy, “my brain is bigger than your brain” presentations. Just proven ideas and new techniques shared by faculty who are teaching in the college classroom every day.
